SMPS National Call for Volunteers

Do you want to make a difference? Have you been a leader within your chapter? Are you ready to become a national leader?

If you answered “yes” to these questions, then SMPS NATIONAL WANTS YOU!

We are seeking members who have served as leaders within their chapters AND are ready to lend their experience and insight on the national level. This is a great opportunity to serve our society and, together, make a difference in our chosen career tracks.

Openings for the 2007–2008 program year may be available on the following national committees:

• Certification
• Education
• Marketing Communications Awards
• Striving for Excellence (Chapter Awards Program)

Qualifications to serve on a national committee are:

• five years of SMPS membership
• two years of experience serving on a chapter board of directors
• if seeking to serve as a National Committee Chair, the individual cannot be committed to serve as a chapter leader during the year they serve as chair.

Interested? We hope so: Don’t spend another moment hesitating. Just complete the National Volunteer Application form (available on the national web site at www.smps.org) and return it to Tina Myers, Vice President of Membership and Chapter Development. The deadline to submit an application is July 23, 2007. We are looking to have all committees slated by August 31, 2007.
