Las Vegas Mayor Proclaims June 5, 2007, as SMPS Day

SMPS Las Vegas set out to celebrate its 10th anniversary in a big way. They had no idea how big until they received an official proclamation from Mayor Oscar Goodman declaring June 5, 2007, as SMPS Day!

To commemorate the occasion, SMPS Las Vegas hosted a social, which included food, raffle prizes, and a silent auction that raised almost $900 for the Nevada Cancer Institute. The chapter honored past, present, and future presidents by creating an SMPS puzzle and giving each president a piece. After acknowledgments, pieces were put together to symbolize their efforts in getting the chapter where it is today—the fourth fastest-growing chapter!
