Member-Get-a-Member Campaign Extended to March 15
Due to popular demand, SMPS National is extending the Member-Get-a-Member Campaign until March 15, 2007. SMPS is challenging members to recruit coworkers, associates, vendors, and business partners to join the society and expand your powerful SMPS network. Each member who recruits two or more new members* between November 1, 2006, and March 15, 2007, will be eligible to win fun and valuable prizes. The more new members you bring into the SMPS community, the bigger the prizes you are eligible to win!
How do you get started?
Print the special “Member-Get-a-Member” application form (pdf) from the SMPS Web site and distribute it to potential new members or direct them to the SMPS Web site to download the form for themselves. All new member applications submitted for this campaign MUST include the sponsor’s name to qualify the sponsor for prize eligibility.
*Who is considered a New Member?
In order to qualify the sponsor, each new member must meet these criteria:

Join as a Regular Member (not a Student or Emeritus Member)

Pay the regular member rate of $345 in full at the time of joining

Have not been a member of SMPS previously
How are prizes awarded?
Only active SMPS members in good standing are eligible to win prizes. Employees of SMPS and the SMPS National Board of Directors are not eligible to win.
One Grand Prize will be awarded to the individual who recruits the most new Regular Members. In the event of a tie, one name will be drawn to determine the winner. To qualify for the Grand Prize, the sponsor must be credited on the applications of five or more new Regular Members.
One Second Prize will be awarded to the individual who recruits the second-highest number of Regular Members. In the event of a tie, one name will be drawn to determine the winner. To qualify for the Second Prize, the sponsor must be credited on the applications of five or more new Regular Members.
One Third Prize will be awarded to the individual who recruits the third-highest number of Regular Members. In the event of a tie, one name will be drawn to determine the winner. To qualify for Third Prize, the sponsor must be credited on the applications of three or more new Regular Members.
All members who recruit two or more Regular Members will be entered in a drawing to win other fun prizes. (Excludes Grand-Prize, Second-Prize, and Third-Prize winners.)
Chapters who recruit the most regular members (based on individual-member participation) will receive prizes. A prize will be awarded to one small, one medium, and one large SMPS chapter.
What could you win?
Grand Prize:
$1,000 cash and one registration to Build Business 2007 ($2,000 value)
Second Prize:
80GB iPod, Bose SoundDock Digital Music System, and $100 iTunes Gift Card ($800 value)
Third Prize:
$500 cash
Other Prizes:
iPod Shuffles, iTunes Gift Cards, USB Flash Drives
Chapter Prize
Double shared-dues revenue for the period ending December 31, 2006.
