SMPS National Unveils New Web Site

If the SMPS Web site looks a little different on your next visit, don’t worry: This is not a leftover Halloween trick—instead, it’s a treat! The completely redesigned and enhanced Web site sports a fresh look and feel and features a new interface, improved navigation, more useful tools and resources for SMPS members, and a greater focus on information.

The new site design “reflects the corporate identity guidelines and branding of SMPS as well supports the SMPS 20/20 Strategic Plan: Advocate, Educate, and Connect,” said Molly Dall’Erta, SMPS Senior Communications Manager. “We were very excited to create the new site for our members. With its improved navigation, visitors will be able to find the information they need quickly and easily,” Dall’Erta added.

New features of www.smps.org include:

•New password-protected Members-Only area where resources such as the online membership directory, Marketer, SMPS News, Career Center, listserve archives, Professional Resources, and Speaker Database are now housed.

•Dynamic Welcome Page that greets each member as they log in and includes specific member information, membership join and expiration dates, chapter web site link, and other unique information relative to that member.

•Search feature to allow the entire SMPS site to be scanned by key word.

•Calendar of Events on the home page that is updated daily with the dates of national, chapter, and industry events across the country. Chapter leaders have the ability to update the calendar with chapter events.

•Printer-friendly option for all web pages.
