Building Design + Construction’s “40 Under 40” Recognition Program
Do you have an “up-and-comer” on your building team? Building Design + Construction magazine is looking for 40 of the top under-40 “hotshots” in the building industry.
Nominees may come from the following fields related to the A/E/C community:
- Architecture
- Interior design
- Engineering (M/E/P, structural, acoustic, etc.)
- Construction
- Construction management
- Project management
- Design/build
- Academia
- Marketing
- Facility management
- Real estate development
- Property ownership or management
- Finance (related to construction)
- Government (Federal, state, local)
- Building product manufacturing
- Building product inventor/developer
- NGOs, membership or trade association in the building field
- Nonprofit environmental or development organizations
Note: Individuals whose work is exclusively related to single-family housing or civil engineering are not eligible.
BD+C is looking for the following qualities and characteristics in the nominees (not necessarily in this order):
- Leadership skills
- Inventiveness
- Sustained career progress
- People skills
- Client relations
- Academic training
- Dedication
- Personal integrity
- Technical skills
- Community outreach
Don’t be bashful! If you’re under 40 (as of January 1, 2007) and believe you qualify, feel free to nominate yourself. International nominees are welcome: This program is open to building team professionals around the world.
Nominations will be judged by the editors of BD+C, whose decision is final.
The nomination process has two steps:
1. Complete the online nomination form (due Friday, October 20) found at www.bdcnetwork.com/survey.asp?survey_id=1400000940.
