Marketing Communications Awards Program Accepting Entries
Mark your calendar! The deadline for entries for the 2005 SMPS Marketing Communications Awards (MCA) is April 8. An entry brochure was mailed to all SMPS members this month.
The annual MCA Program recognizes excellence in marketing communications by professional service firms in the design and building industry. Awards are presented in 18 categories. Open to both SMPS members and nonmembers, this program provides an unparalleled opportunity for firms to showcase their best marketing efforts each year and to gain peer recognition and media attention.
Firms are encouraged to submit materials created between 2003 and 2005 in any of the following categories:
1. Advertising 2. Annual Report 3. Book/Monograph 4. Brochure 5. Corporate Identity 6. Direct-Mail Campaign 7. Feature Writing 8. Holiday Piece 9. Internal Communications 10. Magazine 11. Multimedia and Three-Dimensional Design 12. Newsletter-External 13. Newsletter-Internal 14. Promotional Campaign 15. Special Event 16. Specific Project Marketing 17. Target Marketing 18. Web Site
First-place entries in all categories will be considered for the 2005 Best of Show award, selected by the editors of major national trade publications. In addition, all winners are eligible for the People's Choice Award selected by the attendees of Build Business: Beyond Boundaries, the SMPS/PSMA 2005 National Conference, August 10-13 in New Orleans. Entries will be on display in the Exhibit Hall August 11 and 12, and conference participants will be invited to vote for their favorite entry.
All MCA winners will be notified in May and recognized during the Awards Gala on August 12 in New Orleans.
