Deadlines Announced for National Awards Programs
Each year during Build Business, the SMPS/PSMA National Conference, SMPS National honors the best and brightest leaders in the profession and the Society through a number of prestigious awards programs.
These programs include:
- Marketing Communications Awards
- Marketing Achievement Award
- Fellows Recognition Program
- Chapter President of the Year
- Striving for Excellence.
If you have been impressed by the professionalism of an esteemed colleague, the dedication of your Chapter President, or the innovation of your chapter board, nominate that individual/group for recognition by the Society. The criteria and entry deadlines for these awards programs are now available on the web site at www.smps.org. A synopsis of each of the programs (including a link to more details) appears below.
Award recipients will be honored during Build Business August 10-13 in New Orleans.
Marketing Communications Awards
The SMPS National Marketing Communications Awards recognize outstanding marketing vehicles created by architectural, engineering, design, and construction firms. Awards are presented in 18 categories; in addition, a small-firm award winner is named in each category. Award winners benefit from industry recognition, networking opportunities, and free publicity in SMPS publications and press releases and on the national web site.
The deadline for entries is April 8, 2005. Entry forms are in the mail to members. Additional forms can be printed from the web at www.smps.org/awards/mca.htm. The Fellows serve as a resource at the chapter, regional, and national levels, providing insight, ideas, programs, and mentoring for the benefit of the members and the Society. In addition, these individuals teach, write, and speak on marketing issues outside of SMPS, working to advance the profession of marketing professional services throughout the A/E/C industry.
Only members who have been active in the Society for more than 10 years and who hold a current Certified Professional Services Marketer designation may apply for Fellow. Eligible candidates were mailed an application package in January.
