New SMPS Chapter Chartered
SMPS Long Island officially became an SMPS chapter in July.

2003-04 National President Randy Pollock, FSMPS, presented Long Island President Anthony Musumeci with the chapter's official charter during the SMPS National Annual Business Meeting in New York City on August 14.
The Long Island Chapter leaders are:
- President: Anthony Musumeci, Emtec Consultants Engineers
- President-Elect: Diana Soldano, Eschbacher Engineering PC
- Treasurer: Hiara Guevara-Delgado, CSM Engineering PC
- Secretary: Shehzad M. Khan, Afridi Associates
- Membership: Ellen Talley, Patcraft Commercial Carpet
- Programs: Gregory de Bruin,
A James de Bruin & Sons LLP
- Public Relations: Jane Gertler, CPSM, The Spector Group
- Communications: Andrew Weinberg, The LiRo Group
