SMPS National and Boston Chapter Sponsor Sessions at Boston Event
SMPS National and the Boston Chapter have teamed up to sponsor several marketing and business development sessions at this month’s 20th annual Build Boston.
Scheduled for November 16-18 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Build Boston offers workshops and seminars addressing significant industry issues such as project delivery and management, marketing and public relations, financial management and firm management, codes, contracts, facility management, and design and construction issues of importance to architects, engineers, contractors, and other building industry professionals.

Companies in Transition: Passing the Torch (A39) November 16, 1:00-3:00 pm Moderator: Joan Capelin, Hon. The Power of "We" (B53) November 17, 4:00-5:30 pm Speaker: Richard Friedman, President, Marketing Strategies & Solutions This session covers the psychology of business development (BD), how to incorporate marketing/BD into day-to-day project management, avenues for getting technical staff involved in marketing/BD, and how some firms have addressed this challenge (case studies and industry best practices).
