This Fall, SMPS National will launch a new, interactive, 90-minute seminar series conducted via audio teleconference and the Internet and hosted by industry experts covering industry hot topics, best practices, and specials interests.

On October 26 from 2-3:30 pm (ET), David Wyss, chief economist with Standard & Poor's, will host The Economic Forecast for 2005. Then on November 16 from 2-3:30 pm (ET), Sally A. Handley, FSMPS, president of Sally Handley Inc., will explore Critical Skills for Marketers: The Path to Empowerment. Detailed session descriptions are available at www.smps.org/education/webinar.htm.

Participants in each 90-minute webinar earn 1.5 CPSM CEUs and 1.5 AIA LU hours.

The registration fee is $75 for SMPS members and $150 for nonmembers. The Mid-Day Webinar Series provides convenient, affordable continuing education for industry professionals. Participants gain access to valuable professional development and networking without taking time off from work or paying travel expenses. To register, visit www.smps.org/education/webinar.htm  or call 800.292.7677.

Both Wyss and Handley were well-received presenters at Build Business, the 2004 National Conference, in New York City in August.

David A. Wyss is Chief Economist at Standard & Poor's, based in New York. Wyss is responsible for S&P's economic forecasts and publications, and co-authors the monthly Equity Insight and the weekly Financial Notes.
