SMPS Foundation Seeks Donated Items for Auction
The Foundation needs your help to raise funds in support of its valuable research projects.

The results of the Foundation's study on "Marketing Design-Build Professional Services, A Proposal Preparation Guide for Design-Build Projects" will be announced and available at Build Business, the 2004 SMPS/PSMA National Conference, in New York City on August 12. Carla Lopez del Puerto, Cost Estimator/ Designer, The Benham Companies, and Douglas Gransberg, P.E., Associate Professor, University of Oklahoma College of Architecture will be on hand to discuss how and why owners choose design-build as their project delivery method and how they define "best value" when they select a firm.

You can help the Foundation keep producing dynamic information that benefits the profession by donating an item for the 2004 Silent Auction and encouraging your colleagues to participate in the bidding. The SMPS Foundation's 2004 Silent Auction is scheduled for the evening of August 13 during the Awards Gala at the National Conference in New York City. This year's event will be live on site at the Marriott Marquis. The Foundation could not accomplish its mission to provide education and resources to professional services marketers and their firms without the critical funds raised through this auction.

To make a donation to the auction, please visit www.buildbusiness.org/silent_auction.htm, complete a pledge form, and fax it back to the SMPS National Office, attn: Lisa Bowman. The Foundation will be accepting auction donations until COB on Wednesday, July 28. Instructions about shipping and other auction details can be found on the pledge form.

Each year the Foundation is fortunate to receive a diverse range of auction items, from original works of art and jewelry, to collectibles, to sports memorabilia, to personal holiday adventures, to themed gift baskets. When planning your donation, let your creativity run wild! If you need a jumpstart, take a look at the list of suggested items at http://www.buildbusiness.org/auction/DonationProcess-04.htm.

Should you have any questions, please contact Foundation Auction Chair Andrea Fitch at afitch@hitt-gc.com or 703.846.9095, Co-Chair Marilyn Hennessy, FSMPS, at mjhennessy@earthlink.com or 303.670.7174, or Foundation Liaison Lisa Bowman at lisa@smps.org or 800.292.7677, x230.

Thank you in advance for helping make possible research, resources, and programs that further the field of professional services marketing and serve our industry. [ return to top ]
