Firms not fully prepared to submit a quality form are at risk of losing valuable business. Deltek was there to help A/E firms prepare for the implementation of the SF330, and now we would like to help your firm enhance your submissions to make the best presentation of your qualifications. Learn what government agency likes and dislikes are thus far and techniques A/E firms should employ to optimize their SF330 submissions.

Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and the Creative Professional:
Use Adobe Acrobat to create a PDF as a deliverable
Tim Plumber Jr., Acrobat Consultant, Adobe Systems

In the world of graphic arts, PDF has become an important tool for the delivery of projects. A "PDF Workflow" is a workflow that has the artist or designer create a single, press-ready PDF file from the variety of source files that go into a print project. With PDF/X support, preflight and preview support, Acrobat 6.0 Professional makes it easier than ever to use a PDF workflow for print.

However, print is not the only way PDF can be used to communicate your message. With support for a variety of rich media types, PDF can become the final delivery vehicle for your message. Adding movies, sound, and form elements to a PDF can make it an engaging piece that is more likely to get the results you desire.
What you'll learn:

  • The requirements for a press-ready PDF.
  • How to use standards such as PDF/X or Certified PDF.
  • How to check a PDF in Acrobat to see that it is ready for press.
  • Ways to validate a PDF so that a vendor will trust it.
  • How to add rich media to a PDF so that it will get attention each and every time.
  • How PDF forms elements that can add spice to a project.
