Debra Ames, Marketing Director for Crandall Arambula PC, has been promoted to Principal. Ames joined Crandall Arambula in 2002. Over the past few years, she has helped the firm win downtown revitalization projects in Knoxville, TN; Oak Park, IL; Lincoln, NE; Racine, WI; and Whitefish, MT. Ames is the President-Elect of SMPS Oregon. Crandall Arambula, PC (www.ca-city.com) is a national award-winning urban design firm that specializes in "revitalizing America's cities" by integrating urban design, planning, architecture, and economics to create effective redevelopment strategies.
McKim & Creed is pleased to announce that Ginger Sprinkle has joined its Charlotte staff as Marketing Coordinator. Sprinkle is a member of the SMPS Carolinas Chapter. McKim & Creed (www.mckimcreed.com) provides engineering and surveying services to public- and private-sector clients via offices throughout the Southeast.
Katharine Watts, Senior Associate and Director of Marketing at Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott (SBRA), was named Marketing Executive of the Year by SMPS Boston at the 2004 Marketing Excellence Awards Ceremony held on June 3 in Boston. Watts was recognized for her distinguished accomplishments in marketing planning, business development, and communications for the 200-member firm and for her contribution to the architectural and design community through her service to SMPS. Since Watts joined SBRA six years ago, the firm's proposal hit rate has increased by 20% and net annual revenue has increased by 28%. "Katey has transformed the way the leaders of our firm think about business development and the importance of maintaining client relationships," said Elise Woodward, AIA, Principal, at the awards ceremony. "She has been a champion of rebranding the firm—blending SBRA's legacy with the most innovative aspects of the firm's current work." With headquarters in Boston, MA, Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott (www.sbra.com) is a national architectural design practice serving the education, health care, and science and technology markets.
Herndon, Stauch & Associates (www.hsatx.com), a project management and construction management services firm, announces that Tracy Atkins, P.E. has joined the staff as a Project Manager. Tracy has over 15 years of project and construction experience in the high-tech, building, and industrial fields. She is a member of SMPS Austin.
Farnsworth Group is pleased to announce that Julie Timmons has joined the company as Director of Business Development for the Rocky Mountain Region. Farnsworth will be based out of the Denver office. Timmons is a member of SMPS Colorado. Kathleen Irwin, CPSM, Communications Director for the SMPS Houston Chapter, was promoted to Director of Marketing at Kirksey (www.kirksey.com). Having been with the firm since 2000, she previously served as the Public Relations Manager. In the past three years, Kirksey's Marketing and Public Relations Departments have won numerous local SMPS Design Awards, including the Marketing Excellence Award, and earned a First-Place award for Corporate Identity in the 2003 SMPS National Marketing Communications Awards.
